Another great tube. I’m getting to the point where I’m ready to give up testing 12at7 family š The majority of them sound as good as Telefunken. I decided to try 12av7 now in place of 12at7. It has a much higher mutual conductance which allows it to pump more current, so I thought what the heck, it should theoretically give a bit more bass slam. It didn’t lead to that, but it was a very unique tube. The sound stage expended significantly leaving depth the same. That was a very interesting effect. The music planed way outside of my speakers leaving center well defined. A must try tube – it might just bring you what you’ve been looking for. And all of that joy for just $3-4 a tube!!!!!!!!!!
