Great tube from Bendix, but might now satisfy everybody. Tube has its strengths. Superb bass, fantastic sound stage and great high frequency extension – in addition to all of that the tube is very dynamic. However, when it comes to mid range – the tubes is very similar to Mullard in its warmth, and the price of that is boxy sound, that doesn’t really allow vocals to open up, they feel very contained. I would see this tube absolutely shine when it comes to rock – for example, Deep Purple sounded fantastic with the tube, but female vocal jazz, didn’t perform well at all.
