Now, this is one awesome tube! I know, I know, it’s a new production tubes, but a lot of them have surprised me in a good way. This tube is a beauty! The egg shape definitely makes this tube one of the best looking tubes out there – and they, we buy tube amps not only because they sound great, but they look superb! This tube make a tube amp look very futuristing (this is not good for every amp though).
Sound is as expected – this tube has balls! Bass produced is absolutely superb – tight and precise – no mushiness here. Mid-range is on a dry side, but still quite good – the tubes haven’t been burned in completely yet, so we will see if it improves. On the top of that, overall transparency and top end extension is very impressive. One of the best sound stages that I’ve heard from a power tube. All in all a very impressive tube – now we need amplifiers that are specifically designed for it. Right now amplifiers have been designed to except the tube, but not take full advantage of the tube’s potential.

Tried this tube in my PrimaLuna Prologue 5 – bigger, bolder sound with better bass sound. Great vocals as well.
