I practically never write about rectifiers. In the majority of cases all of them sound quite nice – their affect on sound is more around around how you feel the music, not how it sounds necessarily, but this tube grabbed my attention. It’s a direct replacement for 5U4G tubes an as such could be used in quite a few of my tube amplifiers. What can I say, this is definitely one of the more musical and transparent rectifiers. It’s not as delicate as 80 globe and not as brilliant and bright as 83 rectifier, but it is superb! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
