Deciphering different tube codes is hard even when they are in your own language. Deciphering Soviet tubes is even harder since the majority of information about them is in Russian.

Here is some information about common suffixes:

  • В (V) – Tubes of high reliability and mechanical strength
  • Д (D) – Tubes of with guaranteed life of over 10,000 hours.
  • Е (E) – Tubes of with guaranteed life of over 5,000 hours
  • И (I) – Tubes that can work in impulse mode, have high cathod emissions.
  • К (K) – Tubes that can withstand strong vibrations
  • Р ( R) – Tubes of special reliability and mechanical strength
  • ЕВ (EV) – Tubes of high reliability, mechanical strength and guaranteed life of over 5,000 hours (6P14P-EV)
  • ДР (DR) – Tubes of special reliability, mechanical strength and guaranteed life of over 10,000 hours (6H30Pi-DR)
