The sound of the ShuGuang 12AT7 is very similar to the Electro-Harmonix 12AT7, so much so that it’s practically impossible to distinguish them, even in a blind test where my friend couldn’t figure out if I changed the tubes or not. Once again, it features over-emphasized HF, a solid sound stage, and great bass, and this tube is very well constructed, looking superbly solid with its metal supports and three micas.

I find this tube to be just too bright and harsh on the top. The difference is not huge, but it bugs me a lot. Amperex or Telefunken all the way!
