Another tube from New Sensor, not exactly new – it’s been a few months, so it’s new-ish.
From New Sensor:
“This is a copy of the most popular rectifier valve ever built by Mullard. It has a low internal voltage drop and a controlled heater warm up time which helps extend the life of the other valves in the amplifier by allowing them to heat up before plate voltage is applied. ”
Sound wise, this tube is the same as Genalex GZ34, but has a different look. They also cost practically the same, so the choice here is more about esthetics.
It is definitely a great replacement for disappearing original Mullard GZ34 tubes.
